Author: Chris Grabenstein

Summary: Jack McQuade is a lazy kids who can't even remember to bring his jersey to a basketball game. That is until he eats some jelly beans at a gala. It turns out that the jelly beans are actually 'Ingestible Knowledge Pills' which make him super smart. Now he's acing tests, and cooking like a master chef. When a evil principal threatens to tear down Jakes school, he must use his smarts and help his friends save the school.

Review: I liked this book for many reasons. The characters are well developed and the plot is unique and engaging. There are many plot twists, and it is fun to see how the main character develops through the story. This book also contains funny bits, and that's why I like it. I think I would recommend this book for ages 9 and up.
