Author: Greg Van Eekhout Summary: Lopside, Champion, Bug, and Daisy are dogs. They are also astronauts. They are on board the Laika, a spaceship that's supposed to take them to a new planet. But when the human crew goes missing, the dogs have to fend for themselves on a desolate space ship. Can they make it to the planet, and can they find their human crew?
Review: This book is touching and funny at the same time. The dogs seem like humans, they talk to each other, they play, and they each have their personalities. Some parts of the book made me sad, but the ending is hopeful. I also loved the suspenseful moments in the book, which made me keep turning the page. I recommend this book for ages 8 and up. The plot might be scary for little kids, but the book is adventurous and fun to read.
