She soon faces danger and finds herself in the resistance; people dedicated to smuggling Lithuanian books. Can she survive, and can she rescue her parents?

Review: I enjoyed this book because of how suspenseful and gripping it was. There was so much danger, and excitement, that I had to keep flipping the page. I also liked it because, of how much the main character changes from the beginning to the end. In the beginning, she is as shy as a mouse and rarely makes contact with the outside world. Then, when she is forced into peril, relies, only on friends, but slowly builds up the courage to do things herself. I also liked the book because she doesn’t succeed right away, and fails multiple times. The author makes it seem like everything is going smoothly, and according to plan, then suddenly, there is a danger and Audra is forced to go back. I would recommend this book for 11 and up because a lot of it is violent and heavy. There are also a lot of sad parts, so I wouldn’t recommend this book for young kids, though I think intermediate, or advanced readers will thoroughly enjoy this exciting historical fiction novel.
